Claudio leaves from Milan on 6 August 2014, determined to cross Asia and reach Australia without taking a plane. The backpack is well arranged, but he still doesn’t imagine all the emotions and adventures that will become his most important equipment.
The journey starts looking to the East and twists and turns for 819 days that lead Claudio to discover the roads of Asia and beyond, from the Trans-Siberian to Iran, crossing the Australian Desert, climbing the Himalayan peaks and riding the Silk Road.
How does the dream of a lifetime come true? Where to find the courage to give up a safe job and start walking into the world?
Thursday 28 January, at 6.30 pm, we might discover the key to all answers!
In a live Facebook meeting, we will have the opportunity to discuss the reasons that drive us to move and the motivations that ask us to return, meeting Claudio, that have enthusiastically set out until the end of the Eurasian continent.
The journey becomes a space for reflection reasoning about projects and goals that we set ourselves every day: where do we feel more satisfied? In our clean home looking at Mondays as the starting of another working week or in Mongolia, shovelling yak excrement and using it to heat an entire family during the winter season?
Nobody has the answer or, perhaps, that answer is waiting for us in different corners of the world. This is how life becomes truly incredible, in its unpredictability.
